Just received my NCRS Ship Data report and the dealer apparently is not in their data base. Anyone have any ideas on how to research a dealer. Letter shows Messer Chevrolet in Farmville NC. Google shows Farmville as a small town of 4,700. I'm surprised they would have a new car dealership that sold a corvette in 1970. Has anyone else encountered this and had any luck finding dealer info?
Any feedback will be appreciated.
Thanks

Roger,
Not sure exactly what you're saying here. You state that the NCRS Shipping Data Report doesn't show the dealer then you say the letter shows Messer Chevrolet in Farmville, NC.
Either way, Messer Chevrolet is no longer in business and appears the only Chevrolet dealership in Farmville today is Doug Henry Chevrolet Buick GMC is located at 8567 W MARLBORO RD , FARMVILLE, NC

Get a copy of the 1966 Farmville High School yearbook. Messer was a sponsor - page 137.
Chamber of commerce may have records.
Or, there is probably a Farmville facebook page to check in with and ask if anyone ever bought a car there etc etc.
The SDR we sent you contains all of the information in the GM database. The dealer name, number, zone number, date of production and city and state. Try checking with the local chamber of commerce, historical society, newspaper etc to obtain further info on the dealership itself. Farmville is only 13 miles from Greenville NC which may explain why there was a dealership there.
