Searching for info on 1981 Corvette - Pittsburgh area.

I'm trying to help a friend locate her father's Corvette. I have little information to go on, but I figured I'd give it a try. The car is a 1981, Charcoal Gray in color with silver interior. The vin is unknown. Believed to have been purchased in Pittsburg area when new. It was most likely manufactured in the St. Louis plant. That is all I know about it at this time. I'm hoping to learn more. If anyone owns such a car or knows someone who does, could you reach out to me here on the forum and let me know. My friend and I would appreciate any assistance in learning of the car's whereabouts. Thanks.
