    Title Searches: Connecticut, Massachusetts,Indiana

I want to do some title searches on some of my cars. I know some states wont provide you with any information and others are more helpful. Does anyone have any experiences dealing with the DMV in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Indiana. Thanks

I got a name and address for a 69 L78 Camaro from Indiana dmv. It was from a registration from the mid 80s. I just had to agree not to try to contact anyone who I got info on. That wasn't a problem since he didn't have a phone. His sister did though.

I just sent away for a title search in Indiana ($8). They say that they only have the most recent 10 years, but I understand that some people got more. You won't get the prior owners' names unless you claim to fall into one of several listed categories. One of these categories is that you want the data for research, but in that case you are not supposed to contact the prior owners. (Another category is that you are a licensed private investigator.) The request form is available online, but you have to mail it in.
