I just received an interesting Shipping Data Report for my 62 Vin 6331. The production date of 2/2/1962 was no surprise but the original delivery dealer was either Dealer code 511 or Dealer code 611, in zone 6.
I was always certain that my 62 had been delivered in California since I bought it in the Sacramento area, in 1974, from a person who had owned it for ten years, and the fuel injected engine still had parts of the California Positive Crankcase Ventilation system attached. So the California origin was no surprise.
What is interesting is that the Shipping Data Report indicates it was delivered to one or the other of two different dealers.

The name and Address for the Dealer was either.
Roller Chevrolet (511)
Monterey, CA
or
Val Strough Chevrolet (611)
Oakland, CA

How can this be? LOL
Looks like information about Roller Chevrolet is hard to find. Looks like the dealers location has been redeveloped and is now medical suites.
Looks like Val Strough Chevrolet is still in business but there is also a Honda Dealership at the same location.
