Received my info today on my '73 LS4 Coupe.
I don't have a original build sheet or any paperwork that may have been on the car. I have checked with past owners and none of them ever remember seeing any. Even the owner who did the "Restoration" on the car back in 1991.
I was shocked! I am the seventh owner or maybe even more and I believe I have all the names of the previous owners except the first one. I have read all the receipts and paperwork that had been carried over from previous owners and had always believed my car came from a selling Chevy dealership in South Carolina? So you can understand my confusion.
I got right away on the internet and found that this Chevy dealership changed its name and moved in 1975 to Apple Chevrolet in Tinley Park, IL and is still in business today.
I will re-read all my paperwork and starting reading and calling. I don't mind the leg work because I even enjoy it. It's like looking for that old old NOS part that your car needs.
Chicago is a very large city and I do know several active members on this board and someone may remember this dealership.
The original dealership was on the southside of Chicago in the Roseland neighborhood on "The Ave".
Thanks in advance for any info. and thanks NCRS!
