    Creamons Chevrolet

My Shipping Data Report listed my 1962 being shipped to:
Creamons Chevrolet in Lake Wales, Florida.
The dealer code was 121 in zone 26.
The dealership now goes under the name of Sorensen & Schade Chevrolet.
    Does anyone remember Creamons.
    Thanks

Lake Wales looks to have a very active historical sociey interested in local hisory.

Here's a contact. bet they have some photos or info !!!

From what i can tell, Joseph Creamons was the main man. Doubt he's still around and I could not find any Creamons in Lake Wales.

Try this and see where it gets ya !

I do recal Joe Creamons Chevrolet but your testing my memory. I'll check around but I believe he had a dealership in another central Fl town. I've travelled all of central Fl and have been there and just can't remember where it was

          Eugene:

I did some searching and Joe Creamons Chevrolet was in my backyard, located on 17/92 in Sanford, Fl. This is a bit north of Orlando. I knew I had been there but it was many years ago. This information is confirmed on the State of Florida Corp website. It looks like they became Willet Olds-Cadillac which I believe then became Massey Cadillac and that site is now an empty building as Massey closed it last December. It's all coming back to me slowly.

Don't know about ties to Lake Wales which is about 80 miles southwest of Orlando.

            Bob,
Thanks for responding. I did some research a number of years ago and I traced the car back to Jacksonville Florida. The year was 1978 when it was registered there. Information is difficult to obtain if not impossible from the DMV. I have a name and address of the owner in Jacksonville but I'm not sure if city hall would have records that could help.
I will continue my search after the elections.

Check out this website and seach by "Joe Creamons Chevrolet" and then also by "Creamons"

You'll see this was a family business that had a Jr and Sr as well as Mom involved. They owned a bunch of real estate along with a car leasing company, plant nursery, and land company.

As for the shipping information, I haven't oredered it yet for my 62 but I am fortunate that I already know what it will show and it would NOT match my selling dealer!! I am fortunate enough to have the "build sheet" for it that shows it was shipped to Faulk Chevrolet in Titusville, 40 miles form Orlando. It was sold by Holler Chevrolet in Orlando and I bought the car from the original owner. He thought it had been dealer traded from a dealer in Daytona. I will order the docs to "document my "build sheet" further

If I can help let me know. Hopefully others will see this and use state Corporation records to assist in history searches
