Two Rome, NY Code and Zone differ?

    Two Rome, NY Code and Zone differ?

    So I got my letter today. It states; Dealer Code 120 and a Zone 48, dealership Davidson Chevrolet - Rome, NY

    This information does not show up when I type in the dealer code or zone on the form site. Then I searched Davidson Chevrolet and find it on the forum but with a Dealer Code of 34 and a Zone of 15. So just trying to figure out why the numbers do not match, seems like the same company?

    I then googled Rome, NY and low and behold there are two Rome, NY's, one in Essex county and the other in Oneida County. I then googled Davidson Chevrolet Rome, NY and sure enough there it is. Located in Rome, NY Oneida County.

    So now my search is back on and explains some of the things that I found in the interior while restoring. Found a Hyde Park match book, Hyde Park, NY is very close. I plan on trying the DMV but I hear they are not giving that information.

      Hi Greg,

      If you read my thread from last week you will notice that my '63 was also delivered to Oneida County in upstate NY.
      My car was delivered to:
      Franklin Motors - Pulaski NY
      Dealer code 163 in Zone 48

      In the thread you will see a reply form William stating that his original invoice from his 1976 which he purchased through Franklin Motors was:
      Dealer code 154 in Zone 48

      My feeling after reading your post is that there might have been a shuffle of Dealer code #'s sometime after 1963, at least in the Northwestern NY state area.
