Kentucky Title Search - 72 454/auto/Conv

Anyone done a search on a Kentucky car. I just found out mine got delivered there.

I have traced the car back to 1984 when it made its way to Wisconsin. (now in Detroit, MI) So I'm missing the 1st 10-12 years. The only thing I've been able to find is NCRS dealer code and the word of owner that bought it in 1984 who thought it came out of Tennessee.

1972 Elkart Green Convertible, 454bb, th400 trans, VIN 1Z67W2S503163/ Got delivered to Jim Boomer Chevy in St Matthews, MY which in Louisville Area. Any info you have would be great.

Might be able to take a stab at it with this form. Not sure how far back KY records go.

I traced my 95 back to Kentucky (where it was first titled). Not only did they send me lots of info that I didn't have, then even included names and addresses. Best info of the 4 states I have researched.

Yes I did and they only had records back to 1983 as that's when they started there computer system. Also found out that earlier the regisration form was the title prior to 1978.

Go to the KY DMV online and subimt a title search for $2.00 you can't go wrong.

WOW, KY is a great state. I called their office and the lady ran my VIN and said they had nothing. Did not even have to waste my time with paperwork etc. They have records up to the 1990 for sure, and she said sometimes they have further.

Did you check out the Dealer Section: Some posted that Jim Booher "Moved and became Bachman Chevrolet. Jim Booher still sells cars for Lexus of Louisville" Maybe he has a garage full of old paperwork.
