The NCRS shipping report I received for my 1970 Corvette roadster, an L46 blue on blue, shows it was delivered to dealer Code 103, Zone 13. Original dealer name/address was Bill Book Chevrolet, Altoona, PA. Anyone remember them or have any further info?

Refered to as "Billy Book Chevy" Dealership is long gone most of the Book family have moved on or have passed.
The dealership that bought the chevy franchise is now called
"Dean Patterson Chevrolet", 101 pleasant valley blvd, Altoona Pa 16601; 814/942/2222 ask for Dean, he may talk to you, but I seriously doubt they would have ANY RECORDS!- Top

Re: Anyone remember Bill Book chevrolet Altoona, PA.
Tom,
From the Mason name, it sounded like Bill Luke had the dealer, then it was sold again, and finally 10 years ago to the current owners.
All this with Reedman 48 miles away, 2 guys there buying up any car they could get their hands on, and a Reedman sticker in the glove box...this one is tough to track down. What wanabe famous people were running around near Philly in a red 66 Vette between 66 and 72?? Any ball players?- Top

John,
I remember Sausman Chevrolet in Lemoyne. It eventually became Sunderland Chevrolet and is now Sutliff Chevrolet. John Sutliff runs the dealership at this time and is a good friend of a friend of mine. I don't remember it much when it was in Lemoyne, but certainly remember it when they moved the dealership to Harrisburg.
Every once in a while you see some old memorabilia.- Top

Hi Pam, You can contact NCRS and get a shipping data report. All you will need to provide is a VIN #. I believe the costs is around $45.00. They will provide you with the original dealer the car was shipped to from the factory. Best of luck.- Top
