Received the Shipping Data Report for my 65, and to my surprise the dealer is still around. The report says the car was delivered to dealer code #54 in zone 12 - production date was 5-4-65 -- address of dealer was
Botsford and Hartway Motors - Medina, New York. Search on the Internet and the Dealer is still around as Harway Motors in Medina, NY

Does anyone know anything about this dealer?
What have others done when the shipping dealer was still in existence?

Yes, both my '66 and '67 came from dealers still in business and even still at the same address. However, it was a mixed bag getting any info. The dealer in Indiana had thrown out all the files (of course) and nobody had a clue about anything. However, the dealer in Great Falls, Montana, even though they had no files remaining, had an old lady (young in '67) who had been there forever and remembered my car very well. Since it was a red, L71 coupe, it was the only one in the whole state maybe, and since it was in a small town where everybody knows everybody, it was quite a prize when delivered there to the new owner in March, 1967. Good luck, it's just a crap shoot being lucky with some old employees.

My 66 came from there. Ordered by a GM exec who got a car every year. I wonder if you have the same first owner!

I did call the dealer where my car was sold when new(Long Beach California)but as i thought they where not able to help me wit any information there

The production date on my 65 was: 5/4/1965 and mine went to Zone:2; Dealer Code:380 but No Data on dealer just NY/CT. I believe mine went to CT, maybe Danbury, CT. My last 6 numbers are:116675.
