Durbiano Chevrolet, Jeannette, PA dealer code 250 in zone 13

My 69 riverside gold convertible L46 (# 19211) was delivered to captioned dealer on 3/17/1969.

Apparently the owner was a guy called Edward J. Durbiano - he is apparently still alive, now 89 according to the internet.

Any leads, pictures, stories etc about the place are highly appreciated.

ps - I am tracking previous owners - Patrick Hulst has indicated that he has judged the car on a Michigan Chapter Flight event in 2000 when the car was owned by a guy in Holland, MI

Well, Patrick Hulst is tracing down a guy from Holland MI who apparently owned the car in 2000 and he also indicated he has judged the car back then on a chapter meet. I also got this email from the other end of the history line

"Erik,
Yes, Durbiano Chevrolet was owned by my Father and my Uncle, and I worked there for many years. In fact, I probably detailed the Corvette that you now own, and prepared it for delivery to the original owner. Please ltell me about the car, and let me know if I can be of any help.
Dennis Durbiano"

I live but 4 miles from the old dealership. I bought many a part from the parts dept. while restoring my 64. If I recall one of the owners sons "Dave" worked in parts and another son named ? ran the dealership in the late 70s.
It changed hands several times and was recently closed 2 years ago. If I remember I`l take a picture to email to you.

Durbiano Chevrolet started off life in the town of Jeannette, PA right next to a railroad bridge. Down the street from the fire department. I don't know what year they moved onto Rt 30 aka the Lincoln Highway but can ask around. As Norm mentioned the dealership changed hands several times but when Penn Dot put guardrails up blocking anyone traveling west from entering the dealership that spelled the end of the place.

Hi Erik, My name is scott spillar I live in a little town called westmoreland city pa, I used to work at that dealership when it was called VICTORY CHEVROLET back 13 or 14 years ago, then it change to Dan Jhonson Chevrolet.for about 3 or 4 years. Now the bulding is beeing used for stoage for roofing supplyes. Are in the Netherlands now ?. How COOL to know that a car started out at a small dealership hear and went all the way across the pond to the Netherlands. Good LUCK in your search,I'm just starting to finde more about mine now,long prosses but Fun.

Hi Scott - yes the car is now in the Netherlands - here a fairly recent picture near my house in the old city center of Amsterdam (near Anne Frank House)
