I sent for my shipping report, but no information was available.
I have my original tank sticker with Dealer 549, Zone ***4, which was on the gas tank of my 72 red convertible auto with a/c that I purchased in April 2011. I can’t make out the numbers before the 4. Based on the size of the blocks for “Zone No” and “Dealer” and spacing of the Dealer number, it appears that the Zone No is a four digit number since the 4 is clear on the right side of block.
I entered the Dealer No into the “dealercodes database” and it says “Washburn Chevrolet in Santa Barbara, CA, with a zone of 34. I don’t think that is correct since the engine is a base engine (code CKX) non CA engine.
It was an out of state vehicle registered in PA in 9/13/1989. There was a business card from Jack Evans Chevrolet in Front Royal, VA in the car, but they didn’t go into business until August of 1975.
If anyone has any information, I will really appreciate it.
