Seeking history on my 1966 Coupe

Seeking Dealer Invoice, Protect-O-Plate, Build Sheet, judgings, old stories and photo's.

Best I can determine from old insurance cards found in my 66 and a torn piece of paper (possibly sales reciept) I'm the 4th and 6th owner of this Corvette. Assuming the car was sold new by Felix Chevrolet Co, 3330 SO. Figueroa St, Los Angeles, Calif. 90007 on 5/7/66 (contacted Felix Chevrolet... no assistance available). Attempted a NCRS Shipping Data Report and no information available due to damaged microfiche.

    VIN is 194376S115197

Insurance cards found in car show the following names, City/State and years...

Arnold R Alter, Los Angeles, CA 1977
James J Snyder, Spring Arbor, MI 1978
Richard A Lewis, Fort Smith, AR 1987

Re: Seeking history on my 1966 Coupe

Received my NCRS Shipping document and it seems that my '66 was delivered to Guaranty Chevrolet in San Diego, CA; although it looks to have been sold by Felix Chevrolet in Los Angeles, CA. I presume a dealer trade or something.

This past week I was able to track down owners Alter and Snyder.

Alter was actually the 2nd owner of the car and he had some great stories about his time with the car in Southern California. Sounds like she spent a lot of time in Palm Springs according to Arnie in the early 70's. I'm hoping Arnie can find some old photo's to forward. I'm a little disappointed that he doesn't have any paperwork on the car and is having a difficult time rememvering the first owners name.

Snyder was the 3rd owner and past away in 2006. I was able to speak briefly with his widow, but wasn't able to get any information from her. I sent her a letter and hope for her reply.

Sure wish I could find unknown owner number 1!
