Shipping Data Discrepancy

I have traveled here to Lake Wales, FL to gather information on my 1962.
The Data Shipping Report claims that my car was delivered May 10th, 1962 to Creamons Chevrolet in Lake Wales. After spending the day at the local library reviewing microfiche and going through Polk books, I discovered that Creamons was not in business until 1966. The dealership in 1962 was Paul Allen Chevrolet.
Anyone have any ideas how GM could have a dealers name on a shipping report that didn't exist until four years later?

Yes it did. It looks like Creamons bought Paul Allen in 65 or 66

Could be it was Paul Allen D.B.A. Creamons Chevrolet and up to 65-66 they advertised as Paul Allen...Just sayin...

That thought occured to me also; so I checked another section of the Polk book and it listed the principals of the business as Paul Allen. It also listed his home address. The problem with trying to get information from people in Florida is that no one is from there and the old timers look at you with a jaundiced eye.
