    Just received my shipping Data

Well I thought my car was a Fl. car but I was totally wrong it was sent to Dan Perkins in Milford CT. Good news the dealership is still in business. I sent them a email asking if they could provide any data on my car hopefully the have some past history, however I'm not holding my breath. If anyone has any connections at Dan Perkins I would be willing to pay for the effort. Understand my efforts are to only collect the data for my grandson, someday the boy will be driving my car and I would like to leave him as much history as possible. Thanks

John, what Ara said is probably the best way. Sometimes, you can get lucky, as I found out my 67 was driven by the dealership owner's daughter as a demonstrator for several months and a salesman remembered the car. Dealership had changed hands, but a kindly gentleman put me in touch with the salesman and the daughter. The daughter sent me a letter as additional documentation. I have the original BOS for the car anyway as the original owner I bought it from still had it along with the POP and other info. You may be able to obtain copies of the Mfrs C of O from the DMV office as I did from N.C. Good hunting at any rate! Al

Does anyone know if Dan Perkins Chevy Dealer code 369 Zone 2 in Milford CT.was in busn. back in the 60's? My shipping data stated my 67 roadster was shipped to that dealership, I'm hearing the dealership wasn't around until the 80's ? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

            Hello John,
Dan Perkins Chevrolet was not in business back in 1967. The were open back in the 1980's and closed last year.
Dealer and zone listing for 02-369 is from 1968 The Parsons Chevrolet Company, RT-44, Winsted, CT.

I had a similar issue with my 71 LT1. The info I got from NCRS indicated a dealership in small-town Missouri. I found the man in whose name the dealership was, and he was running a used car lot in the same town. I talked with him and mentioned that my 71 was sold new at his dealership in late 1970, and he laughed. He hadn't started the dealership until the late 70's. I contacted Roy again, and he came back with a dealership in St. Louis. I believe that they have to take the microfiche records and then translate those based on dealer zone records. You might try Roy for a do-over. o
