    Another Idea?

Hello, I am trying to locate the selling dealer for my 1969 Roadster. I tried the NCRS document search option---and my check was returned stating the microphish my VIN was listed on was unreadable. I have located the 2nd owner from the replacement POP---but still no success of identifying the original owner and/or dealership.

Any ideas? I have Auto Ancestry hired and they are doing a marvelous job of tracking down what we can---but no ideas on dealership.

I appreciate any ideas that some of you may have found successful in the past.

    Thanks, Jon Shafer

Gary, The car has had a frame off resto sometime in the past with a new tank--and no sticker on the car. I'm trying to the previous owner who restored it who I've heard may have it. I have the POP from the 2nd owner and am in touch with him---if I could somehow figure out the selling dealership---things would fall into place.

Jon...If you know the city, you can check the ZONE CODE listings (Member Services ) for dealers in that particular city where the car was brought to. It may narrow down your search in that particular time frame.....Gary

Gary, I don't know where it was purchased. I do know where parts had been purchased by the 2nd owner---Dinger Chevrolet--which has been out of business for over 15 years. Any other ideas??

              976 Paint Code ---420 Interior

It was a special order. I am in contact with the 2nd owner who is listed on teh POP---and he confirmed it was saddle when he bought it with only 9k miles on it in early 1971.

I can send you a pic of the trim tag if you sne me your email address.
