Take a look at the post - it's being claimed to be an FI engine for '63 - but double check me if some things don't quite match up:
The stamp pad says 3102047 - which is fine
The stamp pad says FI005RF - not F1005RF. I thought October would be "10" rather than "I0"? Indicates a restamp?
The block casting date code is J32 - October 3, 1962. This preceeds the supposed assembly date by 2 days - which isn't unusual.
The heads (at least one) - are coded J232 - which would have been after the supposed assembly date. Looks to not be original heads.......which happens after all these years.
BUT - the FI unit is dated 12/27/63 - more than a year after the assembly date. So, also not an FI unit matching the engine numbers just like the heads.
Given it's not a later FI unit, and that the block appears to have been re-stamped, I'm not convinced this truly was an original FI engine...........

Please correct me if I am wrong but in the 62s, "I" was used rather than "1" in the engine ID stamp so FI005RF would be the correct characters.
