I was given the original dealer invoices and several other original shipping and order documents for a 65 coupe (invoice attached)and a 66 coupe . The complete VINs are: '65 - 194375S111987; '66 - 194376S116119.
I would like to find the current owners of both cars and give the documents to them - free, no charge.
The interesting story about the cars is that they were both sold new by the same dealer, Pryor Chevrolet, Marlinton West VA and both were purchased new by the same buyer, Dr. Andrew Carney MD, approximately one year apart. I got the documents from the son of the owner of the dealership. He was a teenager back in the 1960s and recalls the sale of both cars to the good doctor.
I have searched as best I can for and found that the '65 is listed on the C2 Registry - there is no owner info on the Registry entry but it indicates the car is in (or was in) the Netherlands. I contacted the chair of the Dutch Chapter and asked for assistance in locating the owner of the car. He informed me that the car arrived in the Netherlands in 1989 - and was sold in 2021. He does not know the former or current owners - nor does he know if the car is still in the Netherlands, somewhere in Europe or elsewhere. He also sent me a link to a document from what I would call the Dutch Dept of Motor Vehicles - the license plate # was assigned to the car - the Dutch DMV records indicate the car was not road worthy due to excessive leaks (what a shock!) but the records do not include owner information. https://www.kentekencheck.nl/chevrol...e-geschiedenis
