Missing line spacing (line feeds / carriage returns)

My posts always seem to be missing the line spacing (line feeds / carriage returns) that I put into the text of the post.This is a new line that was started after hitting the enter key twice.This is a new line that was started after hitting the enter key 5 times.

THIS is a new line added by editing the post, and hitting the enter key twice.

What browser are you using? Have you tried another browser?

Did you click the A/A button once to make sure you're in HTML mode?

These are four (4) steps to follow if you're experiencing problems with NCRS event On-Line Registration or Technical Discussion Board
1) Close the browser completely and re-open the browser
2) Reboot your PC[/COLOR]
3) Try another browser[/COLOR]

I usually use Internet Explorer.

New line (double spaced down) - This time I am using Firefox.

New line (double spaced down) - The NCRS Tech Board is the only place I have this problem using IE.

The TDB vBulletin software treats all browsers the same. Unfortunately, not all browsers work the same, particularly IE.

Did you make sure IE was in the HTML mode by clicking the A/A button on the editor once?

If you're not getting carriage returns and line feeds or any other formatting such as bold text, etc. then you're in the "text mode" and not "HTML mode".

For best results - use the Chrome browser. JMTCW,

what version IE are you using? Are you using Compatibility mode?

I am using IE version 11 in compatibility mode.Funny part is I visit a lot of forums. NCRS is the only one that has this issue.

I'm having this same problem, and it just started showing up yesterday (yes, I rebooted).

Before, I would type out my reply and submit, but there wouldn't be any carriage returns in my text. I would then have to go into edit mode to fix all the missing carriage returns, but now even that doesn't work. I'm running IE 11 and have been for several months. No issues before yesterday.

This is really annoying and only happens on this site (I belong to several). Does anyone have a solution?

UPDATE: I just logged in with Firefox and it works, so I guess it's a compatibility issue between IE 11 and the VBulletin software. By the way, I don't want to sound stupid but I don't think I can help it. What's the "A/A" button??

A/A button is visible on the upper left hand side of the Reply Editor. No carriage return line feed, today's vernacular is new line means IE is Not in HTML mode. Clicking the A/A button once changes from text to HTML mode. HTML provides the document type functionality rather than contiguous string of text.

I clicked on the A/A button and it looks like that took care of my problem!! Do I have to click on that button each time I reply??
