Who can I contact concerning the breakdown of "salaries" 0n the NCRS yearly financial statement.

may I suggest you use the Contacts tool above in the large tool bar to find your Regional representative to ask that question.
The Reps are your point of contact on the BoD and in the best position to provide an answer to questions about the operations of the club,Comment

I did ask my Regional Director and the answer I received was that he knew the salaries but could not provide me with he information. He suggested that I contact the IRS and get a copy of the NCRS form 990 which NCRS file's each year. Personally I do not contact the IRS for anything except to pay my taxes. So I did not contact them.
Instead I contacted the NCRS Interim Manager of Financial and Operations and asked for a copy of the 990 form. He informed me that it was 38 pages and he extracted some (3) salaries from the report. I totaled them up and they were far below the total of salaries listed in the last financial report. I do appreciate the quick response he provided.
Since none of the numbers seem to agree with the financial report which should obviously balance I just put the info aside and decided to stop wasting my time.
I hope there is a disclosure of the NCRS finances in the future to clear up the numerous questions and concerns.
I have belonged to a number of clubs in the past and transparency was never a problem which I believe is a BIG problem currently at NCRS.

I thought that by law, a 501c had to...
"According to IRS Disclosure Regulations, Tax exempt organizations must make its three most recently filed annual 990 or 990-PF returns and all related supporting documents available for public inspection. This public disclosure rule also applies to Form 1023, which is filed to obtain exempt status."
Also, Nonprofit organizations are required to make their IRS Form 990 and their exemption application available for public inspection during regular business hours. If they are not providing it... I would think they are in breech of the rules regarding Non-profit status. Seems like a lot of, "fred has it, ask bob for it, no steve has it," has gone on. Maybe change is afoot..
I contacted my Rep, and got an answer back pretty quickly.... seems there is a lot of concern about transparency going forward.

"Transparency" seems to be rather clouded at this time.
But hopefully the clouds will leave and bring us Blue Sky's.
