It looks like since the recent National Convention lost money the NCRS Board is looking for more ways to spend money.

I assume that since the government has been in a deficit spend mode the NCRS can also do it.

Why not provide the membership with a plan to get back on track financially, such as a budget with forecasts for revenue and expenses.

the comment in the minutes refers to the 2015 Convention, not the just past 2016 Convention which is expected to break even I believe.
i have heard that club financial condition is healthy at this time. I hope so for the sake of all members.

Don where are you moving this thread or link to ? Everyone should have access to it to see what's going on with in NCRS. Why not leave it on the TDB for a couple of weeks.

everyone does have access to it here in the Feedback and Suggestions forum. Look at the names down below of all who have read it.
if you have a comment to make about the post this is the place to do it.

when threads are posted on the Tech Board about the workings of the club, some members complain about it and want it removed.
Not everyone feels the same way about general discussion items on the Tech Board. That's why I moved it and if I didn't another mod would have.

The board meeting minutes will be printed in entirety in the upcoming Restorer magazine which is now at the printers.

In my opinion by moving my posting it has been put in a obscure category.
I have been on this forum for a long time, posted many times and never heard of the Feedback and Suggestion Forum.
Just another way to keep opinions from the other members.
I started a thread on the Gary Mortimer situation a many months ago on the Technical forum and it was never moved or deleted.
I hope the club survives but they are still in a spending mode and I have not yet seen any official audit information.
BTW, the NCRS store was turned over to P. Oslansky a while back and it is still in disarray and not presently open. I wonder how much revenue has been lost?
Since it was a profitable operation before the change it seems the transition plans have gone wrong.
Also what was the $40,000.00 of inventory which was written off and where has it gone?
Transparency, what transparency?

Not sure where you are getting information that the store is closed. It has been open since June 1st and I just returned from Carlisle where we had excellent sales of the NCRS goods. Only the office was closed during this period while at Carlisle but you could order any item online.
