Photo Image Button Function Change

Request to change back to what we had before.

When did this "Image" function change?

Last week instead of the box "Choose File", it had a box at the bottom of the dialog "Select files".

It allows only one file now.

Add an Image from your computer. Maximum of FOUR photos or files or links per post! More than 4 will cause a 403 error. Repeated attempts & you will be locked out! Contact the Helpdesk to be unblocked. Allowed Filetypes: jpg, jpeg, png, gif Upload File(s)

Also, some time ago there was also a change to the "Manage Attachments" function in Create Post or Edit "Go Advanced" mode. It too allows only one file, unless the "+" button is clicked and creates a dialog with up to 8 attachments.

Sorry, but the TDB software has not changed in a long time.

Browser software changes frequently.

Use the Go Advanced / Manage Attachments function

Thanks Gary... is the Image Dialog Box sourced from vBulletin or the Browser?
I'm using Chrome.
Could it be Cache or Popup related?

Gary, Yes it appears to be something in the Browser or MS SW.

I went to my old HP MS Vista based laptop. Also Running Chrome.
Dialog box is different and back to previous multiple select file button. Very strange. BTW since it's Vista, Chrome updates not supported now, so maybe the latest Chrome is affecting the other laptop.

It's browser related. Probably because vBulletin uses a "flash" component to do the insert image.

Manage Attachments works good.

FireFox and Edge don't have the issues because they support Flash whereas Chrome does not. That's the only instance where there's something better for vBulletin than Chrome browser.

Gary, Thanks for your info. I just fixed it.

I went back to the newer Laptop where I had this issue. I Cleared Cache and then went into Chrome Settings.

I then went to Content Settings and I added ncrs.org to the Flash "Allow" function.

I'm not sure which of the 2 changes I made fixed it, but it now works as before.

Were the photos taken with a smart phone or tablet? If so, smart phone and tablets orient the photo according to their software.

Don't know about Android devices, but on Apple products you can lock the photo into the desired orientation.

This is a well know and often discussed problem on the Internet. Google it and you'll see lots of threads about this problem.
