Re: New Web Site Front Page

I like the look of the new home page, no trouble logging in or out on my MS 10. I love the black 62 on the front, I just wish I could have been in Fla. to here it light off. Nothing like the sound of a small block with a huffer and a wild came. The video was priceless, I thought Dave B. was going to, well you know the rest. Good job tech team!

So 10+ years of saving useful links is now down the drain. Where's the crying smiley when you need it.

If accessing the TDB on a different PC, I skip logging into the home page, go straight to the TDB page, then log in.

My normal PC logs me in automatically somehow.

I like the look of the new homepage. My only suggestion-

A lot of popular, yet disparate, things are buried under the nondescript "SERVICES" tab- Membership, TDP, Events, Publications, Password, Memorial Wall. When I was new to the site I had trouble finding the TDB because I didn't think of it as a "Service".

Consider making the more popular of these destinations a top level tab/link across the top of the homepage.

Well that worked, but a cut and paste of the URL doesn't. I'll try a different computer. Thanks much.

All looks good, I just can't bring myself to go anywhere else on the site once that beautiful red '67 shows up on my screen.

I agree Tim. However someone was also nice enough to include my 92 on the page! Thanks.

Re: New Web Site Front Page

We have looked at the menu system over and over again. We can't add any more top level menu categories because they would run off of the page or start two lines that overlap one another. Now we add in the Mobile ready pages for cell phones and tablets with even less room on the screens.

We are plagued by so much information it is really hard to categorize it all. I know it takes users a little while to digest it all, but we don't think there is any information that doesn't need to be there any longer. At the same time we continue to add more information and resources. Nearly fifty years of accumulating information on these cars and we want to make as much as possible available.

I have trouble sometimes when someone refers to something we put on the site 10 or 15 years ago. I have to do some searching myself to find it and remember what is was.
