    Judging Protocol

I have the judging sheets from the last time my car was judged - a few months before I purchased it. I am preparing to have the car judged again and am trying to correct a few of the point deducts, specifically as it relates to body paint and finish. Is it acceptable/appropriate to contact the judge so he can help decipier his comments and acronyms he cited on the judging sheet? Thanks

    Re: Judging Protocol

I can not speak for everyone but I would welcome any owner asking me about comments I made (assuming I can remember the car and situation). We are in this hobby to help each other. I think helping an owner in preperation for judging falls in that category.

Thanks Jimmy, if I can track down the judge I can send him the original judging sheets. Really appreciate your insight.

Dan, what Jimmy said. This is why I write my NCRS number on the judging sheets so the owner can find me easier if he has questions.

Understand - I have the judging sheets from 2008, 2010 and 2012 and I've noticed discrepancies from set to set. Thanks.

                      Re: Judging Protocol

Thanks to everyone that replied to my post. Don Hooper was kind enough to provide me invaluable paint judging information explaining the standard deduction process and insight into how judges evaluate paint - thanks again Don! The paint scoring process has changed significantly since my car was last flighted in 2012.
