User Name in some Posts & PMs missing full name

EDIT..... This appears to be a known issue and a very intermittent one, so for now I'll just leave this here in case others have a similar issue in the future.

    I.E. A Known issue.

Before I issue a Trouble Ticket.....

Are any of you seeing, on occasion, where the Username in the columns of the threads/posts only include the first letter of the last name. We had this problem a long time ago and it was very prominent then. John W and the IT group fixed it then. I recall it was when we went to a new vBulletin version.

I just received a PM from a member and we've been conversing for a few days. The latest PM I got from him bounced when I replied because the auto reply field for his name was incomplete. It was only "Mark F.", not his Full Name(member#). I had to correct it in the Send-To field.

This was in my email but didn't notice until I tried to reply...

You have received a new private message at NCRS Discussion Boards from Mark F., entitled "Re: question about restoration document".

e.g. Also, In this Help Forum section, Oliver G.(in red below) versus full name? (I x'd out the other full names for security). Are any of you others seeing Oliver G. vs his full name?

Column Format got lost when I pasted in here.....

    Richard,

The system only shows first name and last initial to anyone not logged in. If you are logged in there may be an issue with your cookie that doesn't let it always recognize that you are logged in. Go to https://www.ncrs.org/forums/register/ResetCookie.php

This will delete your cookie. Now go back to ncrs.org and tick the box to Remember me and then log in. This will establish a clean new cookie. No guarantee but this probably will fix the issue. Let us know if it works.

        Rich,

Looked back at the issue we had before. There were two issues we followed. One was doing to old passwords that were in a different format than newer ones. Those passwords were all re-encrypted to the new format. The other issue was when a member logged into the forum from an old URL that included a bunch of characters after the https://www.forums.ncrs.org/?pYtbacea#Vjce or something like that.
