I have not seen it, but has the suggestion of breaking down the Technical forum into generation sub-forums? Being a new member its a little overwhelming to see posts for 60 years of cars...

It's probably been suggested, but is not something the club is thinking of doing. The feature that you see next to the Subject line of every thread serves the purpose you want. The little icon in blue. Some of those are C1, or 59-60, if you click on one of those, the threads will sort by that icon.
Trouble is, not all members that use the TDB use those icons. If they did, it would be easy to filter threads to only look at the ones of interest to you.
Many members have old, newer, and in the middle year cars, so the entire Forum is of interest to them.. Once you have been on the Board for a while, it will become more familiar to you.
