How can I filter a search using tags? I didn't see that option in the Advance Search.

For example, I want to search "power antenna" but only for threads tagged C4.

Sorry to tell you there just isn't any way to do that. The search function of this board is just not that sophisticated.

Here is a way. Granted it's a lot of typing but it's effective. Note parentheses surrounding the Boolean "OR" functions, isolating them from the AND functions.

Search Multiple Content Types(Gray bar at top of Search Page)

Search String....

power AND antenna AND (1984 OR 1985 OR 1986 OR 1987 OR 1988 OR 1989 OR 1990 OR 1991 OR 1992 OR 1993 OR 1994 OR 1995 OR 1996)

In Search Titles Only, I got this result.

Type: Posts, Forums; Keyword(s): power, antenna, (1984 or 1985 or 1986 or 1987 or 1988 or 1989 or 1990 or 1991 or 1992 or 1993 or 1994 or 1995 or 1996)


Search:

Search took 0.00 seconds.

• 1987 coupe power radio antenna question.
  
  
• 1994 Corvette Power Antenna Relay
  
  
• 1986 Power Antenna
  
  
• Power Antenna 1986
  
  

Results 1 to 4 of 4



If you Search Entire Posts, it will yield many more but will have to parse through each thread.

Another sometimes useful way is to use the following:

Search Single Content Type(Gray bar at top of Search Page)
Leave Username Blank

At the bottom of that Search Page, Click Search Results As: Posts

The Thread Title Results can sometimes be confusing but the some of your keywords may be shown in the displayed posts.

The further issue is that few use the icon tags when composing or replying to a message. For replies, at least, you have to use the "Go Advanced" button to open that option.
