Re: New NCRS Member & New TDB User Introductions

    Rich,
Do you...or does anyone... know status of the new NCRS forums site? Why is there no communication about it? It looks to be all I have been suggesting for quite some time for forum structure...which could include a new member/introduction subforums. This sticky is a good idea but a dedicated subforum might be even better.

There are numerous topic areas we could communicate about that are not technical. As one example Regional subforums would allow inclusion of all members (like me) who intentionally do not engage in Facebook or anything else like it.
    Kind regards,
    Keith

Re: New NCRS Member & New TDB User Introductions

Hi Keith, Your post was moved over here so we don't interrupt the intent of the other thread. Sorry for the response delay.

There has been activity as John W mentioned regarding a new Forum software. It's in test stages, but officially, I can relay the official statement by Administration...

"NCRS will do an upgrade when it’s necessary”.

The intent is to upgrade when technical issues, like server space, s/w costs, etc, become factors to make a switch, possibly.

The reasons are purely administrative in nature. Any new subforum discussions would apply at that time. For now, we stay as we are.

But I had requested, and volunteered my time for the Sticky regarding the non-technical "Intro" Sticky thread as a way of getting more folks to join in and spark more interest in our TDB forum.

I, and possibly others are enjoying it, and hope the Admins keep it around for a while. It's a start, and I hope it helps our cause and remains a fun experience.

Thanks for your input and ideas.

    Rich

I do appreciate your response. however...moving my post over here is as good as burying it...probably the true intent. no traffic. I wish NCRS well but I am done trying to contribute any thought leadership. It will be what it will be. Too much inertia. Communication and community will continue to be a challenge. But so be it. It's the old..."God give me strength..." presume you know the rest.
      Regards,
      Keith
