    HELP! I'm Missing Buttons!

    (1) I can't find the HELP! button! There's a HELP! section...I know because I've been there. We were told how to get there, but I can't find or remember that anymore. I can even get there by clicking on a thread that's been moved there! But...there is no HELP! button on my index or thread pages!

    (2) Where is my REPLY button? (The reason I started looking for my HELP! button) Not the QUOTE button that shows a copy of the previous post in your reply, but just a button that makes a quick reply when the reference is obvious. Other people are replying without the quote, and I'm tired of cutting and deleting long posts. I found the REPLY button once and used it, but I sure can't find it now.

Chuckster, ya is a losin' it. Help is at the top level of this forum. Go to the top of the page and where you see NCRS Technical Discussion Board in light blue, click on this. It will take you to the top level. Then Help is down the screen.

The reply button is at the top left of the last post in a thread.

Well...We all knew I was losing it; my wife has to lead me around by the hand. If I make a regional, you can thank her for getting me there...and I'll try to keep her from roughing up the security guards. HAHAHAHA...

Alright, here's the problem...I bookmarked the index page. As far as I can tell, the HELP! section is only available on the new general page/events page where you can select TDB (or HELP!). But when I click "Technical Discussion" at the top of the index page, it goes back to the old black screen, and if I then click the link given there for the new TDB it takes me to the general page/events page where I can find HELP! Ah, nevermind, you're confused as heck.

In my opinion, we need an ubiquitous HELP! button...read that as EVERYWHERE.

Ah, not so fast there, Dickie...Actually, after reading your comments, I discovered that's true if you are using Linear Display...don't know about Hybrid Display. Linear Display must have been where I found and used it before.

If you're in Threaded Display, you DO NOT have a REPLY button in that location...I don't see how that makes sense. We Threaded Display guys need a REPLY button.

Sorry to be such pain, John, but we're wringing it out to see what it'll do!

HaHaHa...Thanks guys for trying to help; your comments did provide me with ideas about new things to try.

Sorry, Dickie....When I snap my fingers, you will awake refreshed and remember none of this discussion. ROFL

As you may remember, I was a witness to this at the National.

Yeah, I think you were the only witness, but it may have been discussed at higher levels from the security guard's point of view.

There's a reason Barney Fife was only given one bullet to keep in his pocket "in case of emergencies".
