Hate to be a PITA, after all of the great work that you-all have done.
This is ONLY a suggestion, and I don't want to sound like a spoiled kid (even though I do, you know)

AS IS TRUE OF MOST OF THE OTHER WEBSITES, when one checks their mail, and views a reply to their post through the provided link, would it not be possible to land at the reply, BUT WITHIN THE ENTIRE THREAD, instead of seeing the reply only. This is a requires an extra step, as I always use my mailbox as my "entry portal". Yes, there is a "workaround" but the other way is just SO much more cornvenient.

I think default selecting the linear viewing mode (User Profile->Edit Profile->Thread Display Mode) would do this...

I tried that, just now, but no diff.

BTW: The "default" viewing mode was/is "hybrid".
I have always preferred "linear-oldest first"..........on this website, I switched back to "linear-oldest first", after the first hour of the "new" GUI, but found that I actually liked "hybrid" better, so I switched back to "hybrid".

PS: Despite some ugly words a few days ago, I think that we need more like you in the NCRS. Keep up the good work. Hopefully, you have thick skin, anyway.
