Can we vote to return to the old Discussion Board??

I understand that our board members are always looking out for us. But on this new disscission board I do not think it is as user friendly as the old board.
On the old board I enjoyed looking at the complete post with all the responses listed in order below. I would always read the new post without haveing to view the ones I had previously read.
I find myself confused with this new look, I think it is for the computor WIZS and not the adverage NCRS older motorhead with limited computor knowledge

I was royally ****ed when I got on this board and had to deal with the changes....but after playing with it for a while, and reading the advice of the others, and learning the ropes, the CAPABILITIES of this new system BLOW AWAY the old one...particularly when it comes to posting photos, which is worth its weight in plutonium when dealing with these old cars. It's like going from a solid axle to a Z06...Still a Corvette, but you can do stuff in a Z06 that's impossible in a solid axle.
Still, I will argue that for a new member or someone who isn't savvy with computers, it is kindofa bummer to adapt to this new system...it's harder to just "sign in and go"....but I get the feeling that this is just a newborn thing, and it will be improved on and will evolve just like the old system did.

William, go to user profile, click on that button. When you get there on the left side of you screen will be a list of options for you. Click on Edit Options, scroll down the screen until you see Thread Options. In that section you have the option of displaying newest first, mixed, or oldest first. Select newest and save. This should correct your problem. If not let me know and we will work with you to set it up to suit you.

One thing that most do not know is that the old board was on software that was no longer supported. John Waggoner had to come up with fixes on his own. Once this software is refined it will be light years ahead of what we were doing.

Like Bert and Chuck said to me because I felt the same way , go to (Display Modes) click on (Hybrid Mode) then move to (Quick Links) click on (todays post ). Then under your control panel look for (number of post per page) to add more postings.

I, too, feel change is difficult, but stick with the new board - it is far better than what we had and is now in line with the majority of other automotive boards we all visit. You will learn to like it and it is certainly much easier to read.

Meanwhile hang in there on this DB. Call me. Bill I am self taught on the PC. Here is a really neat tip on how to quickly use this forum. Directly under reply to threads there is a long line of words to click on. New posts. Quick Links. Use those two and it's easy. Quick links is my favorite and its very fast.
There are boo coo advantages to this forum. THe old DB suked. Sorry about the bad word but it did. I mean VH's and others was soo much better. Now this forum is better than all of the forums. When you learn how to tool around here you will love it.
I vote NAY. Don't ever return to the old obsolete forum. Keep the old Corvettes but not the forum. I am outta here. Going to work.
