    Thread Length Concerns

    Why is it that on longer threads that I have been following (most recently "Timing Jumping") am I not able to get postings beyond say 21 or so. The numbers indicate the postings are up to 44 already and I am interested in this subject but can't follow it beyond a certain point??

    Re: Not able to receive all postings in a thread

    Stu, not sure what you're saying. I justed looked at the latest post by Michael Hanson made this morning. Since it was made this morning it's in the top 5 on the 1st thread page. Do you get the window with all of the thread posts listed that looks like a tree? Sometimes it depends on where people post their reponse. If one posts to your response and another posts to Michael's then there are 2 branches and not a single string. Have to use the window with the thread roots to navigate through all of the posts. Hope this helps. If it doesn't , please explain further. Gary....

      Stu,

      There are three Display Modes to review posts. Linear, Hybrid, and Treaded. I don't know which you are using, but if you have never changed it Hybrid is the default mode. Somewhere in the upper window that shows the Thread you will see More replies below current depth... This signifies a thread that has run off of the edge of the page. Just click on that link to open this group of threads. This should be the missing messages you are looking for.

        John W. and Gary C.

        Switched to Linear seems to get me what I want on the long Threads.
        Thanks for your help. Thought I was doing something wrong or going bonkers.

        Regards;
