Is there a time limit after which one cannot edit his posts? Or a limit as to how many times one may edit the same post? I have a post I submitted less than 24 hours ago that I've edited once (or twice?) and cannot edit again. I've been trying since late this afternoon, and the thread is still active. The FAQs are vague about this. Thanks.

Re: Editing Posts
Louis,
There is a 12 hour time limit on editing posts. The reason is that by going back and editing a question, a malicious user could make the person answering the question look stupid or other situations like that. Wish it didn't have to be that way but such is life.
If you need to have something edited I can edit it for you after the 12 hour limit. Let me know what is needed.Administrator

Re: Editing Posts
In fact, if you find an error immediately after posting, you may be able to make a correction without that troublesome edit notation even showing up. I am often able to make several corrections within about a minute of the initial posting, with no evidence it ever happened. Don't change this, John...it helps to keep me from looking goofy or careless.- Top

Re: Editing Posts
Chuck,
I always use the Preview Post button to look over what I have entered. Saves going back to edit at all. Especially helpful when posting a picture or something because you can make sure that it is going to look as you expect, not too big or too small or some other problem.Administrator
