    Search function assistance

I want to search the current TDB to determine if Duke Williams has posted any recent info on a particular subject, e.g. the cam he designed.

Tried "new design cam" (in quotes) and msg came back that "cam" was a too frequently used word (or some such wording) and the word "cam" was left out of the search. No results.

Tried searching on posts by Duke and got too many hits to sort through. Anyway, the last info I saw him post regarding his new cam, the comment was imbedded in a posting with a subject that had to do with cams, not necessarily his cam.

Appears to me that in "advanced search" you can either search for posts by subject or by poster name, not a combination of both criteria. Correct?

I have never had much luck with TDB searches that get too specific. Am I doing something wrong (usually the case )?
    Cheers,
    Charlie

    Re: Search function assistance

Charlie, got these listings from an "advanced search" on camshaft and Duke Williams. Set the option for "posts" rather than threads. Is this list what you were after? Gary....
