    lost thread

    John,

I am looking for a thread I started in about July 2006.

It was titled, "461 cyl head repairable?

Checked the archives to no avail using several different keywords.

    Any possibility of recovering it?

    Thanks,
    Joe

    Re: lost thread

Joe, the thread should still be in the archives. Did you try searching on your old User Name/Handle you used to use? If you didn't give that a go. John and Rob converted the archives in late March to the new User Name logon format using Members e-mail addresses. Gary....

      Gary,
No luck. Just tried my old and new user names plus derivations and could not get any hits on anything. Appears the search by username does not work for me.

      old name Joe Mish

        Joe,

I just did a search on Joe Mish in the Search By Keyword side. I searched only the Archives and found the post that you are looking for. https://www.forums.ncrs.org/showthread.php?t=58533

John, perhaps Joe was searching the archives like I did since he said it was a 2006 thread. Next time will search the entire forum. Thanks, Gary....

              Gary and Joe,

The difference was that I searched in the Advanced Mode on Joe Mish as the keyword instead of the Username.

Joe I can change your email address to your old one mishy01@msn.com for a little while and pull all of the posts that you created on the Old Tech Board into your new Profile on this board if you would like.

                John,

Can you switch my username back to joe mish for a few days.

I originally searched in the archives and used broad and narrow search criteria and still cannot find that post. I received a pm response July 30, 2006 so I must have posted in July 2006. I also included a photo of a damaged head. If not available I'll post the question again. There was an address for a shop in nj that does cast iron repair and that's what I'm looking for.

I also tried the username of the fellow that responded in the pm but had no luck.

Title should be ,"461 cylinder head repairable?"

                Thanks,
                Joe
