How to banish underlined links ?

When using Mozilla Firefox browser on the NCRS tech site, all the links are underlined, and I find it a visual PITA. I'm on a Windows XP home box. When I switch to Microsoft Internet Explorer browser, everything is according to the Internet Properties (Advanced) rules that I have selected (ie. no underline of links except when mouse pointer hovers over).

Must I live with this on Firefox ? Anybody try Google Chrome browser yet ? (I'm thinking of trying that next).

    TIA

Can't help you with the Fire Fox problem, but Chrome browser runs extremely slow on my computer. I changed all the settings to speed it up, finally removed it from computer. I am running IE 8 and am very pleased with it.

Thanks for the heads-up, Dick. Since then, I've heard that Google "chrome" has a few serious security issues, so I'll stick with Firefox. Also toying with Ubuntu operating system -- long learning process, and will probably drop Microsoft entirely in a few months (good ridance !)

For those who find the "all links underlined" in Firefox annoying (as I did) I found a way to get rid of them -- trouble is now when you hover over the link, it doesn't underline at all, but it does turn orange, which is good enough, I guess. The steps are: Tools/ Options/ click on 'Content' tab/ click on 'Colors' button/ uncheck box marked 'Underline links'.
