When are posts moved to the Archives?

When I go to Archives I see very recent dated posts. Am I doing something wrong?

The latest post in the Archives is dated in February 2008. I wouldn't call that recent.

The Archives are all of the posts that were brought to the new forum from the old format that we used. The posts in the new forum will not be relegated to the archives since the server can now handle the load of all of the posts in one group.

This of course is subject to change. Nothing on the internet is forever. Newer technology and the need for more features could change everything some day.

Thanks John. You are right Feb. 2008 is not recent. I figured out what my problem was. While in the Archive discussion I was using the search feature and it was showing me recent posts. I was thinking I could just search the Archive section, but I guess the search feature looks in both places.

The standard search feature searches everywhere. If you go to the advanced search you can narrow it down in several different ways including just selecting the Archives or the Help section. You can search through a date range or by author or by keywords and not other keywords. Lots of features just take some time and try some of the features to see what results you get. If you learn to use the system you can narrow your search down to find just what you are looking for.
