    Order of posts ?

Why are some of the posts out of order "time" wise ?
    This thread for instance.

    Re: Order of posts ?

Roger, some posts can be linked to previous posts by using the "quote" button where as the posts made using the "Post Reply" button are shown as subsequent posts in the thread root structure. John wrote a nice FAQ about the two post options. Hope this helps. Gary....

How do I reply to a thread or a message? How do I reply to a thread or a message in a thread.
From the Thread where you wish to post a reply at the bottom of the thread you will find the button. Click on it!
Check the Title to see if you need to modify it.
You can use the editor functions in the window to adjust fonts and colors. Add smiley faces or other emphasis to your posting. You can also use the icon to attach a file, or the icon to insert an image into your message. Words that are highlighted with a red dotted underline are spelling errors, or words that are not common. Right click on the word for suggestions for spelling errors.
Be sure and select an model year icon from the bottom of the message box to identify the model year your message or question pertains to. Before you hit the Submit Button you may want to look further down the page at the options that are available for your message. There is another chance to attach a file to your message, and also some choices about being notified of replies to your message.
Lastly before you click on the Submit Button you should click on the Preview Button to take a look at your message as others will see it.
To Reply to one specific message in a thread you can do a couple of things.
First if you would like to just add a note, you can click on the Quick Reply, or the button if you would like the full editor function. You can also check the box in the very upper right corner of the message and then go to the button at the bottom of the thread to reply only to the message you have selected.

It appears by clicking on the Quick Note you can insert your comment anywhere in the order of posts. I've never seen this Quick Note feature work this way in other forums , but it makes sense. Thank You
