    Navigational Help

O.K., I post a response to a question, hit the back button, and wind up god knows where.

How do I return to where I was last?

    Re: Navigational Help

Once you post a response, I don't think there is an easy way to go back to where you were. I have to start over again at the "discussion boards" link at the top of the page, and then scroll down to the thread I posted on -- It will now be the first thread listed until someone else posts to another thread.

If there is a shortcut to that process I would like to know too.

I think he wrote while on line then hit the back button and if so it will go away. I write using my e-mail then copy and paste it while on line till I see that it took.

I use IE 7 and there are forward and back arrows at the top of the page. There is also a down arrow that, if you hold the mouse over it, says "Recent Pages". I click the down arrow and I see recent pages that I have been too. I choose "NCRS Disscussion Board - Search Results" and it brings me right back to where I started from.

Don't use the back button in either IE7 or FF. After you post, the website should take you back to see what you just posted. If you want to continue in the discussion board, there's a choice of links in the white box (not the blue) below the NCRS logo

...or bottom right of posted page there's a (Forum Jump..Go) button to get you back.

I just keep hitting the back button until I'm back to where I started from.

If you want "real time" discussion the easiest way is to do as Michael pointed out, click on the Technical Discussion in the white box (the same one your log-in name is located). If you use the "forward or back arrows" or other "go back" buttons it will take you "back in time" to the place you were before you posted.

Not positive how it happens but after you post on certain forums and you hit the go back you get a message about having to re-send information or something to that effect. It may have to do with your personal settings on your computer.
