Why was the spelling thread clsoed, I mean closed?. Not technical I guess. It sure was popular.

I actually just figured out how to do the spell check thing on my post with a right click. Involved a download. Send me a PM if anyone is interested and I will tell them how and what I did.

What about the split infinitive ?....."the air filter needs replaced" without the "to be" just sounds wrong to me....

I know what you mean, it does remind me of some wisdom that was shared with me by a co worker about 25 years ago.
He told me:
"ther makin thins outta plaskit these days they neva could usta"
I found this to be very true and have never forgot.

Guess it got out of hand, and my post didn't help, I'm sure. Where is Jeff Foxworthy when ya need him.
