Links in a thread always broken

Links to my website do not work when inserted in my threads. It just comes up with a blank.

If you click this, it'll work:

But if you click this, it won't:
    MYWEBSITE

(above is using the insert link button after selecting the text for the name)

When I insert a link in a thread I have the setting "Automatic Parse Links" selected they typically work ok, but if I go in and edit the thread, the link becomes "unparsed", will not work, and I have to go back and delete the link, reinsert it, hope it parses properly, if so it works again. If I "Preview Post", it screws up the link, so I usually just "Submit".

I have this same problem on corvetteforum .com, which uses the same website shell software.

I'm thinking that the problem is related to the "~" or "?" character in the comcast user name. Can someone verify this please?

I expect it won't get fixed but it sure is a PITA for me.

    Rich
p.s. I'm not sure if even this thread is gonna work!

Both of your links work fine for me, Rich.

Richard, why not just use the URL, which works. John's got alot of things on his plate. JMTCW, Gary....

Gary, This is not a priority so I understand if no one has time. But FYI.....

In another thread I posted the URL and that doesn't work either. I created another thread because if I edit the original one, I loose the parsed link and then the full URL won't work.

It looks like a Firefox (Mozilla) thing. I use Flock and that's broken too.

This won't work in it or others browsers it appears. IE seems ok.

Rich, include URL's copied from FireFox link window in my posts and have not had any problems. Test the links with preview to make sure it's a good URL and the preview function's always worked. Only URL's I've posted that don't work are the ones truncated with dots rather than the actual link info. It's beyond me. Gary....
