How to reference/use an image posted in a previous thread in a new thread?

For example, I would like to use the lurk image in this post but not able to retrieve the number assigned to the image...but the software can point me to it if I attempt to load from my desktop, the image.

Tom,

"Lurk image"? Guess you were meaning your post with the pop corn box?

Right click on the image and select "copy image location" and you'll get the URL below.

Ok, I'm not getting "copy image location" when I right click on the pop corn box.

Or, I should say, when I return to the post, click on the yellow "insert image" box, nothing is showing up in the pop up box.

If you are using Internet Explorer you will need to Right Click the image and select Properties. Copy the Address (URL) from the box that pops up.

Paste that into the message https://www.forums.ncrs.org/attachme...3&d=1206516835. You will need to wrap it in the img tags by putting a [IMG] tag in front of the link and an [/IMG] at the end. I hope that is clear because if I enter it exatly like that here all you would get is the image and not the instructions.

Always use the Preview Message button to review what you have to see that it comes out the way you think it should. If it doesn't you have a chance to edit it as many times as needed to get what you want.

Hi,
I found a different way to retrieve a previously posted picture.
After writing a reply that I want to add a picture to, I'm not always sure if I've posted a partcular picture before or not, so I use the BROWSE button under ATTACHMENTS to find the picture on my computer; and hit UPLOAD. If I've already posted it in the past, I get message saying where that thread, post, and picture is. I go to that post, copy the picture, and then paste it under the reply I'm writing presently.
It easier and quicker than it sounds, or I'd be too 'tech challenged' to do it.
