Thread & page access

Is it just my computer or is anyone else having trouble accessing different threads and pages today. Sometimes quick-sometimes 2minutes or more & others never! Will the new update scheduled on 12/27 correct this? No problems encountered on other websites today.

No problems on this end. Every year, on Christmas, it seems internet access slows down as people play with their new games or test their new laptops out.

Hi Dick, hopefully, that's the main problem, however on other dates , it does seem to slow down a little. I just know I wasn't experiencing this on other sites, today. Thanks for the response, though. Al

I just checked on Speedtest.net and am running 10.06 mb up and 3.13 down. I have noticed a couple of other sites that are slow though

I had a couple of threads that wouldn't open yet most were fine! Strange.

i have stuff that opens on one computer but not the other. must have something to do with what protection you have installed.

I had threads on this site that wouldn't open yesterday. Today seems fine. I just figured Rob was playing around with the site.

Yesterday between 12:01 pm. and 12:17 pm I got 63 emails about errors from the Tech Board. These were system generated messages. The errors said the database has more than 'max_user_connections' active connection. I don't think the TDB was that busy but I was not online at the time and have no idea how many members were accessing the TDB.

It may have also been a result of our hosting company tweaking something. I looked at the log files and we did not have heavy load of users yesterday, only 504 vs a normal day we exceed 600 users.
