    Thread Display Options - Date

Is there a way to "default" certain sub-forums to show all posts, or at least the past year?

I went through a couple and chose "From the beginning" and it then displayed them. However, when I come back the display is only the past month.
Can this be allowed to be any date of the options we choose rather than always set back to the 1 month default at each visit?

    Thanks.

    Patrick,

I am confused by your question. Check "Forum Actions" in the submenu at the top of the page. Select "General" from the drop down list. In that window that opens go down to "Default Thread Age Cut Off:". You have several choices there for age of threads shown.

Does that do what you want?

      John,

I suppose it would, but then why is there the option in each forum/sub-forum under "Thread Display Options" at the bottom of the page to choose a time frame different than the default?
It was at this location (page bottom) that I was selecting "From the Beginning" for certain forums. Others I'd prefer to limit to the last week.
However, making this choice didn't make a difference the next time I visited the board - everything was back to a 1 month default.

Does that help explain what I'm after?
Different timeline choices for each forum.

        Patrick,

If you make the change in your profile all forums will always follow the rule that you set. Probably not what you wanted but if you play with it you may find a compromise that works for you.

          John,

Looks like they all follow the same rule, even if you attempt to reset in each forum.
I think the selector at the bottom of the page is a "one use only" search selector, not a way to select the display from today onward.
