I'm still unable to upload photos and I have no idea why. I have uploaded photos of the same file size previously with no problems. In fact, I've uploaded files from this same memory card with no problems. What happens now is that I get an "orange dot" next to the file name after attempting to upload. The "orange dot" when clicked on simply says "upload failed" and gives no reason.

Re: Posting Photos
Joe,
Are you using Manage Attachments or Insert Image.
What is an example file name?
Send one of the photos to XXXXXXXXXXXXX and I'll test it.

I have been using "insert image". That's what I've used before and had no problems uploading. I'll send the photos to you via e-mail.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Posting Photos
Joe,
Sorry you're having an image insert problem.
Tested "Insert Image" and Manage Attachments with FireFox 10 (latest version), IE8 and Chrome (my primary browser) and were able to insert the two images you emailed OK.
Questions:
1) do you get the same results with Quick Reply and Go Advanced?
2) are you using any photo loader FireFox add-on?
3) does Basic Uploader work?
4) Please capture step by step screenshots and email them to me.
5) Check FireFox Tools / Options / Content Tab and see if "Enable Java" and the other options are checked, if not check them.

6) check these options in your Profile / Settings

I add lots of images, sometimes 3 or 4 a day or more as part of testing and bug resolution in our IT forum.
Only problem I've encountered is a couple of times using the "insert image" uploader (not the basic uploader) I receive the Warning icon.jpg warning icon after trying to upload a new (never uploaded) jpg file. What I do is check the file name and if it's short add more text to the file name. If the file name is long, trim some text from the file name. Close the insert image uploader, click insert image and upload the file with no problems. Haven't been able to figure out what that problem is as it's only happened 2 or 3 times. Can't find any problems reported in the vBulletin (TDB software vendor) forums about photo upload problems.

Re: Posting Photos
All,
I found out the Basic Uploader option (via the link at the left lower corner of the upload screen) does still work as intended. select the file by pressing the botton and then press on the text Upload File(s) underneath the button.

Re: Posting Photos
Joe,
#4 if you have Vista or Windows 7 - screen capture is a basic tool. Check the Microsoft website for instructions.
# 6 go to your profile and selecting settings.

Can't get images to load, using "insert image" button.
Have always used "Safari" in the past. Do I need to use Firefox?
