    Uploading Pictures

I have a heck of a time uploading pictures. I select them, click upload and I get an upload failed. I have uploaded before but it seems to be hit and miss. I'm upload jpeg's sized 800x600 and less than 293K (in fact usually less than 100k).

I just tried to upload 3 pictures for the last 30 minutes and tried everything I could think of.

    Steve,

Sorry you're having a problem. Are you using the Insert Image function or Go Advanced Manage Attachments.

Try clicking the A/A button on the editor tool bar first before doing anything else and see if that helps.

Seems like the only thing that works is the simple uploader. Just figured that out.

        Steve,

Two things that seem to cause a photo upload problem:
        1) Browser - can try another browser
        2) Cookies and Browsing history - can clear cookies and browsing history

Tried IE, Firefox & Safari. I'll take a look at caches.

            Re: Uploading Pictures

Your attachment is 800x600 and your photobucket link is 1024x768 so it does look better. As I told Gary I finally got pictures to upload using the "basic" procedure.

There are a few things that are less than stellar in this BBS engine. But just like a car when you buy it your are stuck with the options it came with!

              Re: Uploading Pictures

Photobucket and other similar services are fine for the moment. Go through the archives and find all of the old posts that used Photobucket or one of the others where you now find a broken link to the photo.

Pictures uploaded to our server are never deleted. Photobucket and other accounts are abandoned as people find the new latest thing. That leave a post here describing a photo that doesn't exist on our server.
