    Why can't I post a reply to a thread?

I get the following message when I try to reply to a thread:

You do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: - Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? - If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

    Please help.

    Thanks,
    Joe

    Joe,

If you can post this message you can reply to a thread. You may not have been logged in and this will prevent you from posting anything. You had to be logged in to post this message.

      John,

Well, one would think so... But I was definitely logged in the whole time. When I had trouble posting I checked to make sure I was logged in by switching to the next page and then back, it showed that I was still logged in. Then I started this thread without logging in again. Do you have any more ideas?

Since he replied to John's suggestions, I guess the problem is fixed.

            Don,

I tried it twice with no luck. I didn't save the thread, but I think the gentleman's name was Charlie. He was asking how to find members. I'll try it again today if someone hasn't already answered his question.

              Michael,

You may be right. I do seem to be able to reply to this thread just fine! It makes me nervous when things break and fix themselves mysteriously. I guess that's better than the other way around.

                Don,

I looked for the thread, but couldn't find it. I think it was started by Chuck Anastos. It was about a Corvette his brother was selling. I believe it was a 65 396 Milano Maroon. I couldn't find it just going back through the discussion board. Then I went to Chuck's profile and looked through threads started by him. No dice. I also looked through his latest posts, nada. It's like the thread has been deleted. Chuck was wanting to find a fellow NCRS member to ask him about the car because his name was on some NCRS award documents on the ad listing.

                  Joe,
the post was deleted. It may have been locked when you last saw it which would be why you could not post to it. And then it was removed. The moderator who locked and removed it would have sent a message to the OP to explain why. I am sure there was no glitch in your functionality.
