Re: No editing options available
Jim,
What browser are you using? Have you cleaned out your browser cookies and history?
Sounds like a browser cache or out of memory problem.
Shut everything down and reboot your PC.

Re: No editing options available
Hello Gary, I have tried everything I know , to no avail . I am using Internet Explorer .I think it is a compatibility issue with this site , as I have no problems elsewhere , but I don't know what to do about it . Jim- Top

Re: No editing options available
Jim,
Which version IE?
You can download and try Chrome or FireFox
Download Mozilla Firefox latest version for Windows free. Mozilla Firefox latest update: December 19, 2024
John Waggoner has a four step plan on Internet problems:
1) Close browser and restart
2) Reboot PC
3) Try another browser
4) Try another PC

Re: No editing options available
Gary, IE is 10.0 . I remember there being an issue when we changed formats where some of us had to adjust our computers to the new format somehow? Unfortunately that is all I remember about it , but I am thinking that type of procedure is what I need again . Do you remember what we did ?Jim- Top

Re: No editing options available
Gary,
FYI ; Using Firefox , I am indeed able to edit etc. as needed . So I am now even more sure that I need to Match up this site with IE to make them compatible again . I just don't know how to do it .

Re: No editing options available
Jim,
IE has a Compatibility Mode that is supposed to allow it to understand sites that are written in standard html, css and not tuned just to satisfy the IE browser. This site has built in a function that s supposed to tell IE to use compatibility mode. compatibility.jpg You can also click the icon shown in your browsers address bar to change to or out of compatibility mode manually. If you don't have the icon it means that IE is supporting our code to force it into compatibility mode.
That is about the only other thing I can think of other than if you have java disabled in IE but not in Firefox.
If need be I can remote into your computer and do some investigation if we can agree on a good time for both of us.Administrator

Re: No editing options available
Jim,
Find the Help link at the top of the browser click on it then scroll down the list and find About. That will open up a window and tell you the version of IE you are using. You would have to be running Windows 7 or 8 to use version 10. Windows XP will use version 9 but 10 is not available.Administrator

Re: No editing options available
Jim,
Clearing browser cache is in the www.ncrs.org/helpdesk Knowledge Base or you can do a Google search for Microsoft instructions on how to clear IE browser cache $ browsing history.
When you clear all of the NCRS cache & history IE should work OK.
This is all we can do to help you, rest is up to you.

Re: No editing options available
Gary , I did and know how to clear my browser , But I thought you were asking if I did it to the NCRS Forum by itself. As you can see I still have the problem , so I will continue to work on it . Thanks for all your help . Jim- Top
