Problem with Search Function and member name

    Gary, Rob,

Noticed a problem in advanced search with new upgrade:

When you go into advanced search of the archives, and when you hit the first two or three letters of a members name, there used to be a drop down menu of a list of members, and then you could just click on the members name.

Now you have to type in the members name and number exactly how it appears in the database or else you will get an error code. Very frustrating.

    Jerry,

Never noticed that before. But in fact it should work that way. Will have to investigate.

    1) Internet Explorer doesn't work
    2) Chrome and FireFox work = OK

    Thanks for letting us know.

      Gary,

      Figured it out.

If in Advanced Search you use the Search Multiple Content Types tab, the members list pop-down works as before.
If you use the Search Single Content Type tab, the members list pop-down doesn't work.

Never noticed these tabs before in numerous advanced searches of the archives, and not sure what the Single Content Type tab is for

        Jerry,

Am guessing you're using Internet Explorer? What version? If not IE, which other browser?

FWIW, we always need to know the browser and version.

As I understand it, but don't hold me to it; Single Content only search one type content "forum" whereas Multiple Content will search the boxes checked.

          Gary,

          I'm using IE 10 with Windows 7 64 bit.

The Multiple Content search works for me regardless of the boxes checked at the top and brings down the member list by just typing in 2 to 3 letters. The Single Content search just doesn't work for me.

could you retry now, make sure to press CTRL F5 once (might have to press CTRL/F5 several times once you're in the Advanced Search single content) to ensure the page is refreshed at your ISP...

              Rob,

It works now. I think the problem was that I didn't have the exact name box checked. Works as before with the box checked.
