picture resizing

I just got a new Nikon digital camera . I tried to post some pictures last night and it would not let me it said the file was too large . what do I need to do ? PS I'm digital illiterate .

I moved you from Tech Board to Discussion Board Help. You should have a photo program in your computer. After you take your photos, you load them via your SD memory card into your photo program where you can edit them, crop or enhance them and resize them. Your new Nikon is probably set to take 20 GB images, and all you need for posting on a blog or website is something like 300x600 kb size. Once you resize your photos, you can then grab them from your photo program and load them into your TDB thread.

I like to use IrfanView, it's an easy and free image editor. You can download it here: http://www.irfanview.com/ but any other program should work, too.

Recommend you read the FAQ's as the FAQ's have lots of good information in them about "how to" things on the forums such as photo resizing info and software.
